47‑year‑old Tasos Sidiroploulos announced his retirement from football refereeing after a 17‑year spell officiating in Greece’s top division. The Super League removed him from its roster ahead of the 2026/27 season, prompting his decision to step down. Over his career he refereed 221 Super League matches, 20 Greek Cup games, 32 matches in Saudi Arabia, 22 Champions League group‑stage fixtures, 27 Europa League games and 8 Conference League contests.
