Greek regions announce agricultural subsidies and new investment calls

The Region of Western Macedonia has announced the results for the ‘Installation of Young Farmers’ intervention under the 2023–2027 Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). A total of 295 new farmers have been approved for funding, with a total public expenditure of €10,607,500. The average subsidy per producer is approximately €35,957.63. While most beneficiaries are ready for payment, one candidate requires additional documentation, and 18 applicants were excluded due to budget exhaustion.

Separately, the Region of Central Macedonia has issued a call for expressions of interest regarding new agricultural investment schemes. These programs, part of the national CAP Strategic Plan, focus on three areas: improving farm competitiveness through modernization, investing in water conservation to address climate challenges, and promoting circular economy and energy efficiency. Applications for these schemes can be submitted electronically through the Integrated Information System of State Aid from October 6, 2026, until January 20, 2027.
