Greek regulator grants first MiCA crypto licences to XENIOS and Capital Wallet
On 22 July 2026 the Board of the Greek Capital Market Commission approved the first crypto‑asset service provider licences under the EU Markets in Crypto‑Assets Regulation (MiCA). The licences were issued to XENIOS BLOCKCHAIN GROUP and CAPITAL WALLET GREECE, authorising them to offer services such as custody, management, and exchange of crypto‑assets for clients.
The same meeting also revoked the supplementary licence of Noval Property as an alternative investment fund and expanded the licence of Alpha Finance to include additional investment services. These actions mark the launch of regulated crypto‑asset activities in Greece under the new European framework.
