Greek retailers form cross-industry alliances to target youth market

Greek retail companies are forming strategic cross-industry alliances to target the youth market, particularly during the Back to School season. These partnerships utilize reciprocal coupon systems to drive customer traffic between different sectors such as sportswear, technology, and fast food.

One major collaboration involves ZAKCRET Sports and Food Plus, the developer of KFC and Taco Bell in Greece. Under this agreement, customers purchasing sportswear from ZAKCRET Sports or Sneaker CAGE receive coupons for use at KFC or Taco Bell. The promotion also works in reverse, encouraging dining customers to visit sporting goods stores.

Another recent partnership was established between Plaisio and Cosmos Sport (part of the JD Sports group). These alliances aim to capture a larger share of the consumer wallet by linking high-interest categories like sneakers, apparel, and technology through shared promotional incentives.
