Greek schools hold mental health awareness activities
In observance of World Mental Health Day, several educational institutions in Greece conducted awareness programs focused on emotional well-being and empathy.
At the Politiki Primary School, students participated in experiential activities led by psychologists and social workers. Younger students engaged in exercises to identify emotions through art, while older students discussed scenarios involving loneliness and social exclusion to foster empathy and the importance of seeking support.
Similarly, the 1st Gymnasium of Kalabaka implemented a program titled ‘It doesn’t always show—Let’s listen to one another.’ Through group activities and the creation of a collective collage, students explored the hidden nature of mental struggles and the impact of supportive communication within the school community.
