Greek schools hold student awards and teacher tribute events

The 2nd General Lyceum of Naousa will host an Excellence and Prospects Awards ceremony on 9 August 2026 at the Veltans Hall. The event will honor students who excelled during the school year and provide information on further study and career options.

The Municipality of Lassithi will stage a commemorative tribute to the late teacher Maria Grammatikaki‑Petraki on 7 August 2026 at the Municipal School of Agios Georgios. The program includes speeches by the mayor, cultural figures and members of the teacher’s family, as well as musical performances.
