Greek Eurovision entrant Akylas apologizes after 10th‑place finish

Greek representative Akylas, who placed tenth in Eurovision 2026, addressed reporters outside the ERT building, explaining that the contest was “a very difficult and exhausting journey.” He said his team’s expectations were high and that the pressure led to sleepless nights and a feeling of personal failure, prompting him to apologize to the public for the result.

He affirmed he is recovering, expressed gratitude to his team, and left open the possibility of returning to Eurovision in the future, noting he wants to develop further as an artist before competing again.
