Greek singer Mihalis Khatzigiannis cancels August concerts after gallbladder surgery
Mihalis Khatzigiannis announced via Instagram that he has undergone a cholecystectomy (gallbladder removal) and is recovering under doctors’ orders. The operation forced him to cancel the live performance scheduled for 11 August at Kuko’s The Summer Bar on Agios Theodoros beach, as well as other summer dates that had already been postponed (including a show in Karpenisi on 3 August). The venue posted a notice: “The live with Khatzigiannis is cancelled due to a health problem of the artist. Ticket holders can obtain refunds from the point of purchase.” Khatzigiannis thanked the medical staff and his fans, stating, “I am well, but I need to spend a little more time for a smooth recovery.” He indicated that revised dates will be announced once his recovery is complete.
