Greek Student Housing Allowance Applications Open for 2025‑2026

The Greek Ministry of Education has opened the online portal stegastiko.minedu.gov.gr for the 2025‑2026 student housing allowance. Applications are accepted from Tuesday 30 June until Friday 31 July 2026 and require the applicant’s TAXI​Snet username and password.

The allowance is intended to ease the high rental costs faced by thousands of students studying away from home. Minister of Education Sophia Zacharaki emphasized the grant as part of a broader student‑care plan that includes renovating and expanding university dormitories. The government aims to raise the share of students covered by housing aid from about 7 % to 15 % by 2030.
