Greek 'Supervivientes' contestant hospitalized, leg amputated after on‑set accident

During filming of the Greek edition of the survival reality show "Supervivientes", contestant Stavros Floros suffered a severe accident that led to the amputation of one of his legs. He was rushed to a hospital and placed in intensive care, later regaining consciousness while doctors evaluated a possible transfer to a specialized centre in the United States.

SkaiTV announced that production suspended the programme immediately and subsequently cancelled it, citing the seriousness of the injuries and the controversy over safety protocols. The incident prompted criticism of the show's extreme challenges, while versions of "Supervivientes" in Spain, Romania and Croatia continue to air.

The contestant posted a brief message on Instagram thanking supporters and describing the experience as a “miracle”.
