Greek Supreme Court orders probe into leak of suicide victims' video and notes

The Supreme Court of Greece (Areios Pagos) prosecutor Konstantinos Tzavellas has demanded an urgent preliminary criminal investigation by the Athens Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office. The investigation concerns the illegal dissemination and reproduction of a video and the personal notes left by two 17‑year‑old girls who died by suicide.

Authorities will examine how the material was spread, the circumstances of its reproduction, and any criminal liability arising from its public release, with the aim of fully clarifying the case and protecting the memory of the deceased teenagers.
