Greek Reality Star Stavros Floros Injured in Dominican Boating Accident, Survivor Greece Suspended
During a break from filming the 13th season of "Survivor Greece" in the Dominican Republic, 21‑year‑old contestant Stavros Floros was spearfishing without a surface‑marker buoy when a tourist boat struck him. The propellers caused severe leg injuries, resulting in a partial amputation of his left leg and major trauma to his right ankle.
Floros was rushed to hospital, where his condition was described as serious but stable and no longer life‑threatening. Production company AcunMedya and the Greek broadcaster SKAI TV announced that the show would be suspended pending a full investigation by local port authorities. SKAI pledged to support Floros’s medical treatment and rehabilitation, and stated that the series will remain off‑air until the incident’s circumstances are fully clarified.
