Greek Survivor contestant Stavos Floros hospitalized in Miami after severe accident, show ends early

During the filming of Greece’s Survivor on the island of Agios Dominos, contestant Stavos Floros suffered a serious accident that resulted in the amputation of his left leg and a trauma to his right ankle. He was airlifted to Miami, where he is receiving treatment at a leading U.S. trauma center.

Greek surgeon Prof. Nikolaos Namiás, an intensive‑care specialist based in Miami, is heading the medical team. His father said Floros will undergo two surgeries—one on each foot—and that the young 22‑year‑old is staying calm and motivated. The family has also arranged financial support for him.

Following the incident, the production company Acun Medya and the broadcaster Skai announced the immediate end of the season, awarding Floros the €250,000 prize as the “real survivor.” Remaining participants will return to Greece with psychological assistance provided by the show’s staff.
