Greek Tax Lottery May Draw Awards up to €50,000

On 26 June, the Independent Authority of Public Revenue (AADE) held the 57th draw of the Greek tax lottery for May 2026 electronic transactions. The lottery awards a total of 556 prizes: one winner receives €50,000, five win €20,000, fifty win €5,000 and five hundred win €1,000. Participants earn one ticket for each euro spent with cards or other electronic payment methods, up to a monthly spending cap of €10,000. If a taxpayer’s electronic spending exceeds 30%, 50% or 70% of their monthly income (one‑twelfth of annual earnings), the tickets are respectively doubled, tripled or quadrupled.

Prize payments are made directly to the winner’s bank account via AADE’s online portal; if a winner does not provide an account within three months, the prize is considered unclaimed. All winnings are tax‑free, non‑seizable and non‑transferable.
