Greek tax refunds 2026: tracking, IBAN registration and debt offset rules
Thousands of Greek taxpayers awaiting refunds after filing their 2026 tax returns can monitor the process through the myAADE digital portal. After logging in with Taxisnet credentials, users select “My account (Debts, Payments & Refunds)” and then the “Refunds” tab to see the amount owed and its processing stage.
Refunds are typically credited within up to 90 days of filing, unless additional tax checks cause delays. Any overdue obligations – such as ENFIA, income‑tax liabilities or other confirmed debts – are automatically offset against the refund. If a balance remains, it is paid to the bank account whose IBAN has been registered with the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE). To register an active IBAN, users navigate to myAADE → “Registry & Communication” → “IBAN declaration”, enter the 27‑digit IBAN and confirm the change.
