Greek Taxpayers Face Asset Declaration Deadline on October 24, 2026
The electronic POΘEN platform for filing the 2026 "Πόθεν Έσχες" (asset declaration) is now operational. All Greek taxpayers must finalize and submit their Declaration of Asset Status by 24 October 2026, which is three months after the income‑tax filing deadline that ended on 24 July.
Submissions are made exclusively through the POΘEN system using personal Taxisnet credentials; paper filings are not accepted. While much of the information—bank accounts, securities, real‑estate, vehicles, and other high‑value assets—is automatically retrieved, taxpayers must carefully review and correct any entries, including those concerning spouses, cohabiting partners, and minor children. Mistakes can result in fines of up to €400. The responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of the declaration rests solely with the taxpayer.
