Greek theatrical productions expand to Athens and Sweden

Greek theatrical productions are expanding their international reach through upcoming performances in Athens and Sweden.

The comedy “Everything Goes Wrong” by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, and Henry Shields, directed by Themis Marsellou, is returning to the Athina Theatre in Athens. Following successful runs in Athens and Thessaloniki, the production features a cast of eight actors and is scheduled for a premiere on October 9, 2026.

Additionally, the stage adaptation of Charlie Chaplin’s “City Lights” is set to be performed in Swedish at the Uppsala City Theatre in Sweden. The production, which utilizes music and physical expression rather than spoken dialogue, features music by composer Thodoris Oikonomou. The project aims to leverage the universal language of music and movement to appeal to international audiences.
