Greek TV drama “Derti” launches with family intrigue in 1987 Patras

ANT1’s new series “Derti” is set in Patras in 1987 and follows music teacher Stella Smaragdi, who is forced to work with the police to avoid prison. She infiltrates the glittering nightclub Derti, which hides a criminal network run by club owner Alekos Avramidis and his famous singer wife Xenia Avramidou. The plot thickens when Stella discovers that Xenia is the mother who abandoned her as a child, turning the investigation into a personal quest for truth and revenge.

The story also introduces undercover officer Aris Deligiannis, who assists Stella while dealing with his own trauma. Produced by Melina Tsampani and Petros Kalkovalis and directed by Spyros Rasidakis, the series blends music, forbidden romance, and organized‑crime drama against the backdrop of late‑80s Greek nightlife.
