Greek TV hosts Liagas and Arnaoutoglou dispute live phone interview

On June 23, Greek morning‑show presenter Giorgos Liagas addressed a recent phone interruption by fellow presenter Grigoris Arnaoutoglou on the program “To Proino.” Liagas said he had no personal problem with anyone and wanted to end colleagues’ on‑air commentary, describing the incident as a “great controversy” and emphasizing that the next day's discussion should focus on serious topics such as femicide.

Arnaoutoglou responded, characterising Liagas' behaviour as “brouda” (nonsense) and saying he did not wish to continue the dispute. He reiterated his willingness to return to the morning show on his own terms, while both hosts referenced a long‑standing rivalry and differing views on the direction of Greek television entertainment.
