Greek universities open housing applications for first-year students

Greek universities have announced the application procedures for first-year students seeking free or subsidized housing for the 2026-2027 academic year.

The University of the Aegean has set a deadline of September 18, 2026, for applications, which must be submitted electronically. Housing options are available across six island units: Lesvos, Chios, and Samos offer owned student residences, while Rhodes, Syros, and Lemnos provide housing through leased accommodations. Facilities in Lesvos include single rooms with private bathrooms, Wi-Fi, and shared kitchen and laundry areas.

The University of Patras has established an application window from September 16 to October 16, 2026. Students must first complete their official registration with the university's information system before applying. Applications are submitted via a dedicated digital platform using university-issued credentials. The university has noted that no extensions will be granted for late submissions.
