Green Bay Packers adjust roster following offensive line injuries

The Green Bay Packers have made roster adjustments following a series of injuries to their offensive line. The team placed offensive lineman Jacob Monk on injured reserve due to a quadriceps injury, which is expected to sideline him for at least four games. To fill the vacancy, the Packers promoted Mekhi Becton from the practice squad to the active roster.

The offensive line depth is currently strained. In addition to Monk, center Sean Rhyan is dealing with a high ankle sprain, and right tackle Zach Bako-Bawele remains on injured reserve for the season with a torn patellar tendon. Other linemen, including Travis Glover and Aaron Banks, have also dealt with recent injuries.

Becton is expected to provide depth at both tackle positions, potentially allowing the team to preserve backup center options like John Williams or Jager Burton. The team faces these personnel challenges ahead of a Thursday night game against the Carolina Panthers.
