Green Bay Packers claim Arden Walker and face scrutiny over Aaron Banks contract

The Green Bay Packers have made recent roster adjustments involving both defensive and offensive personnel. The team claimed defensive end Arden Walker off waivers from the Minnesota Vikings. Walker, a rookie who entered the league following the 2026 NFL Draft, previously played 17 snaps against the New York Giants.

On the offensive side, left guard Aaron Banks is facing scrutiny regarding his performance and contract value. Signed to a four-year, $77 million deal in March 2025, Banks has been named to CBS Sports’ ‘All-Overpaid Team’ for 2026. Analysts noted that while his sack rate was relatively low, he allowed 23 quarterback pressures and received a Pro Football Focus offensive grade of 56.5, ranking 55th among 79 qualified guards. Additionally, Banks has dealt with knee tendinitis that has impacted his availability.
