Green Bay Packers hold 25th annual Family Night at Lambeau Field

The Green Bay Packers held their 25th annual Family Night at Lambeau Field, drawing approximately 60,000 fans for a preseason practice session and festivities. The event included tailgating, a laser show, and a fireworks finale.

Despite the festive atmosphere, the team faced roster challenges with 15 players absent due to injuries, including tight end Tucker Kraft, defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt, and running back Josh Jacobs. The practice also marked a transition to live tackling for younger players and newcomers.

Rookie kicker Trey Smack delivered a notable performance, converting 6 of 7 field-goal attempts from distances including 33, 35, 38, 43, 45, and 47 yards, though he missed a 51-yard attempt. General manager Brian Gutekunst and head coach Matt LaFleur expressed a need for continued performance as the team navigates the rookie's development.

Other highlights included a 52-yard touchdown pass from Jordan Love to wide receiver Matthew Golden. However, defensive play drew scrutiny from fans after cornerback Keisean Nixon struggled in coverage against Golden during drills.
