Green Bay Packers prepare for potential Josh Jacobs suspension

Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst has confirmed that the organization is preparing for the possibility of a league suspension for star running back Josh Jacobs. The potential disciplinary action follows Jacobs’ arrest in late May on five domestic violence charges.

If Jacobs is suspended, the Packers are expected to rely on Marshawn Lloyd, a 2024 third-round pick, to handle the majority of the rushing workload. The team has also been linked to potential roster moves to bolster the position, including interest in Trey Benson, who was recently waived by the Arizona Cardinals.

Gutekunst expressed confidence in the existing running back room but noted that the front office is ready to take additional action if a suspension occurs.
