Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings prepare for Week 1 matchup

The Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings are set to face off in their Week 1 NFC North matchup. The game will be broadcast nationally on CBS.

For the Packers, quarterback Jordan Love faces a significant challenge as the team manages an unsettled rushing attack following the departure of Josh Jacobs. Head coach Matt LaFleur has expressed confidence in Love, describing him as an elite player, though the team may need to rely more heavily on the passing game. Additionally, the Packers' defense will be without pass rusher Micah Parsons for the contest.

The Vikings enter the season with Kyler Murray, who makes his debut for the team. Minnesota's injury report remains relatively clean, with only offensive lineman Caleb Tiernan and players Jakobe and Jacob Thomas listed with minor ailments. The matchup also features a narrative of former players facing their old teams, including Aaron Jones, who moved from Green Bay to Minnesota.
