Green Bay Packers prepare for Week 8 matchup against Carolina Panthers

The Green Bay Packers are set to face the Carolina Panthers in a Week 8 Thursday Night Football matchup at Lambeau Field. Both teams enter the contest with losing records, as the Panthers hold a 3-3 record and the Packers sit at 4-3.

Head coach Matt LaFleur indicated that wide receiver Savion Williams may see an increased role in the offense, particularly if Matthew Golden is unavailable for the game. LaFleur praised Williams for providing a spark to the offense through critical third-down plays and physical presence, noting that the team intends to utilize Williams' size more effectively.

Defensively, the matchup highlights a contrast in strengths: the Panthers have struggled against the run, while the Packers possess one of the league's more effective passing defenses. The game is scheduled for October 29, 2026.
