Green Bay Packers pursue Jonathan Taylor amid rushing struggles

The Green Bay Packers are reportedly exploring a trade for Indianapolis Colts star running back Jonathan Taylor as the NFL trade deadline approaches on November 10. The team currently possesses the lowest-ranked rushing attack in the league, averaging approximately 60.6 yards per game and 2.9 yards per carry through eight games.

This lack of ground production has placed significant pressure on quarterback Jordan Love, with nearly 82 percent of the team's offensive yardage coming through the air. While Josh Jacobs returned to the lineup earlier this month, his production has not yet resolved the team's offensive rhythm issues.

In the absence of a consistent run game, the Packers have relied on a strong defense to remain competitive. Green Bay has won four of its last five games, allowing only 73 points during that period, which is their fewest allowed in a five-game span since 2021.
