Green Bay Packers quarterbacks discuss preseason approach and development

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love has expressed a preference for minimizing contact during preseason games to prioritize health for the regular season. Love noted that unnecessary hits in exhibition games have previously caused him to miss time during training camp.

In the team's preseason opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Love played only nine snaps, completing three of five passes for 18 yards. This limited involvement aligns with his goal of staying healthy, particularly as he seeks to improve his durability compared to previous seasons.

Meanwhile, second-year quarterback Kyle McCord reported feeling increasingly comfortable during training camp. McCord stated that the game is ‘starting to slow down’ at the professional level, allowing him to better anticipate throws and play more aggressively within the offensive scheme.
