The tandem of Xavier McKinney and Evan Williams was praised for its talent, versatility and chemistry. McKinney recorded eight interceptions in 2024 and ranked among the league’s top safeties in tackles and pass deflections in 2025, while Williams emerged as a reliable starter.

Meanwhile, edge rusher Micah Parsons, acquired from the Dallas Cowboys in a trade that cost the Packers two first‑round draft picks and a $188 million contract, suffered a torn ACL in Week 15 of the 2025 season. Despite the injury, ESPN ranked him second among pass rushers, noting his 12.5 sacks, 41 tackles and 315 pressures over 14 games. The Packers did not win any games after Parsons went down, underscoring his importance to the team’s Super Bowl aspirations. He is expected to miss the start of the 2026 season but could return for the stretch run if he regains full health.
