Green Bay Packers sign former Bills wide receiver Kaden Prather
The Green Bay Packers added former Buffalo Bills seventh‑round pick Kaden Prather to their roster on a one‑year contract. Prather, a 23‑year‑old who played college football at West Virginia and Maryland, spent the previous season with the Louisville Kings of the United Football League after being waived by the Bills with an injury settlement. The signing coincided with the Packers moving wide receiver Brendan Rice, the son of Hall of Famer Jerry Rice, to the Non‑Football Injury list and ultimately cutting him.
Rice, a former seventh‑round pick of the Los Angeles Chargers in 2024, has bounced among several practice squads before joining Green Bay. Prather joins a crowded Packers receiver group that includes Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, Jayden Reed, and others, and will need to compete for a roster spot during training camp.
