Green Energy Fair to address AI-driven electricity demand
The second edition of the Green Energy Fair (GEF) is scheduled to take place on October 28 and 29 at Arena Zagreb. The event arrives as the energy sector faces new pressures, including the rapid development of artificial intelligence and the construction of data centers, which are driving a significant increase in electricity demand.
Discussions at the fair will focus on how power systems can respond to rising consumption while maintaining supply security, grid capacity, and flexibility. Key topics include investments in nuclear energy alongside solar and wind power, battery energy storage systems, the digitalization of power grids, and new market models.
The program aims to bring together energy companies, equipment manufacturers, investors, startups, the public sector, and international institutions to address decarbonization, ESG requirements, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and the digital transformation of the energy industry.
