GREEN × EXPO 2027 announces first phase of event lineup

The GREEN × EXPO 2027 Association has released the first phase of its event lineup for the upcoming international horticultural exhibition, scheduled to take place in Yokohama from March 19 to September 26, 2027.

A major component of the exhibition includes ‘National Day Special Days,’ with schedules already confirmed for 59 countries and international organizations. These events aim to promote cultural understanding and international friendship. Scheduled participants include nations such as San Marino, Mauritania, Turkmenistan, Djibouti, Tajikistan, and Syria in the early months, with a wide array of countries from Africa, Asia, and Europe participating throughout the duration.

To showcase Japanese culture and nature, the association will host the ‘Omatsuri Saijiki Project,’ featuring traditional performing arts and agricultural rituals. A highlight of this project will be a permanent exhibition of the Aomori Nebuta festival. Additionally, Kanagawa Prefecture will present an original musical titled ‘Vibrant INOCHI,’ which focuses on environmental issues and the prefecture's core philosophy of life.
