Green Hills Borough swears in new Mayor Jodie Chapman
Jodie Chapman has been sworn in as the new Mayor of Green Hills Borough, Pennsylvania, succeeding Terry George. The transition ceremony took place at the Lone Pine Country Club on September 11.
Green Hills is one of the smallest boroughs in the state, with a population of approximately 19 residents spanning just over 640 acres. The municipality was established in 1971 following a secession effort by businessman Vernon C. Neal Sr. and John Pettit. The move was designed to allow the Lone Pine Country Club to obtain a liquor license after failing to change the status of the surrounding South Franklin Township from dry to wet.
