Green Mountain sues CTS Nordics over TikTok datacenter dispute

A major legal dispute has emerged regarding the construction of a TikTok datacenter in Hamar, Norway. Green Mountain, a large datacenter operator, has filed a lawsuit against contractor CTS Nordics, alleging breaches of contract.

Green Mountain is seeking approximately 335 million Norwegian kroner in damages, along with additional unspecified claims. The dispute involves allegations that CTS Nordics obscured cost calculations during the project. Specifically, a former employee of CTS has alleged that they were pressured to manipulate financial calculations by approximately 160 million kroner to falsely link Green Mountain and TikTok to the project.

The case is expected to be addressed in the Oslo District Court, following a planning meeting held in late August.
