Green Party members march in Kaiserslautern for CSD

Members of the Bündnis 90/Die Grünen party from across Rhineland-Palatinate are participating in the Christopher Street Day (CSD) in Kaiserslautern to demonstrate support for the queer community and oppose anti-queer sentiment.

The demonstration follows a regional party conference and serves as a response to rising hostility toward LGBTQ+ individuals. Party leaders Christin Sauer and Carolin Cloos emphasized the importance of visible solidarity, noting that the number of recorded anti-queer crimes has increased significantly since 2010. The party is calling for increased protection and security for CSD events in response to recent threats and attacks.
