Green Party of Mexico expands regional presence in Lerma and Sinaloa

The Green Party of Mexico (PVEM) is expanding its regional presence and political structure through the incorporation of new figures in the states of Mexico and Sinaloa.

In Lerma, the party has added businessman Marco Antonio Ruiz Ruiz, also known as Tony Ruiz. Ruiz, who has a background in the timber industry as a director of Indumark, joins the party as part of a strategy to build electoral organization ahead of the 2027 elections. His arrival follows a pattern of recruiting experienced political figures, such as former State of Mexico Governor Eruviel Ávila Villegas, to strengthen the party's position within its alliance with Morena.

In Sinaloa, the party announced the incorporation of Fernando Pucheta Sánchez. Pucheta, described as having extensive experience in public service, joined the party during a meeting with national and state leadership, including Arturo Escobar and Ricardo Madrid Pérez. Pucheta stated his intention to support the national project led by President Claudia Sheinbaum, noting that Mazatlán remains a priority for the party's territorial work.
