Green Party wins Queen’s Park by-election in Brighton and Hove
The Green Party secured a significant victory in the Queen’s Park ward by-election, with candidate Mark Strong winning with 1,139 votes (50.1%). This result marks a gain from the Labour Party, which received 802 votes (35.3%). With this win, the Greens now hold both seats in the Queen’s Park ward of the Brighton and Hove City Council.
Other recent local by-election results across the UK include the Conservatives gaining a seat in the Cotswold Blockley ward from the Green Party, and the Liberal Democrats gaining a seat in the Tunbridge Wells Cranbrook, Sissinghurst & Frittenden area.
