Green School launches 2026-2027 academic year in Varese and Legnano

The Green School program has officially launched its 2026-2027 academic year with presentation events held in Varese and Legnano. The initiative aims to promote sustainable development and reduce the environmental impact of educational institutions through practical projects.

Last year, 273 schools across Italy received Green School certification, with 101 of those located in the province of Varese. These schools involved 2,255 students and 2,088 teachers in 319 sustainability projects. The current year's objectives focus on energy savings, waste reduction, sustainable mobility, water conservation, and the protection of biodiversity.

The program continues to expand its community reach through the 'Patto Educativo di Comunità di Varese', which currently involves 25 different entities, including companies, associations, and public bodies.
