Green Tour 2026 deadline extended for tourism investments

The deadline for tourism companies to apply for the Green Tour 2026 fund has been extended to 17:00 on September 30, 2026. Originally set for September 15, the extension was established by a directorial decree on September 3.

Managed by Invitalia for the Ministry of Tourism, the fund provides a total of 109 million euros to support sustainable and digital investments. The program targets investment projects valued between 1 million and 15 million euros. To qualify, at least 51% of eligible expenses must be allocated to energy efficiency or renewable energy sources.

The financial structure consists of 59 million euros in non-repayable grants and 50 million euros in subsidized loans. Specifically, beneficiaries can receive a non-repayable contribution covering 54% of eligible expenses, with the remaining 46% provided through subsidized financing. The fund aims to promote environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria, digital innovation, and the seasonal redistribution of tourist flows. At least 60% of the resources are reserved for SMEs, with a minimum of 25% of that portion dedicated to small and micro-enterprises.
