Green Transformation program to launch with 160 million euro fund

A new “Green Transformation” program, funded by over 160 million euros through the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism for 2021–2028, will be inaugurated at a conference in Warsaw on September 30, 2026.

The funding is designated for four primary pillars: climate adaptation and mitigation, energy development (including geothermal and energy storage), nature protection, and the circular economy. Participants in the program include local government units, public administration, businesses, research institutes, and non-governmental organizations.

Representatives from the Ministry of Climate and Environment, the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, and donor nations—Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein—will attend the event.
