Green Voice competition reaches record 15,000 registrations
The fourth season of the ‘Green Voice’ debate competition has reached a record number of participants, with 15,008 registrations from high school students across all 34 provinces and cities in Vietnam. Organized by the Green Future Foundation and Vingroup in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Training, this year's registration count is nearly four times higher than season three and approximately nine times higher than the inaugural season.
Participation was widespread, including students from boarding schools in Dak Lak and Phu Tho. Geographically, Central Vietnam accounted for 42.4% of participants, Northern Vietnam for nearly 30.2%, and Southern Vietnam for 27.4%. The provinces with the highest engagement rates were Dong Nai (21.1%), Bac Ninh (20.4%), and Da Nang (16.2%).
Dr. Le Thai Ha, Executive Director of the Green Future Foundation, noted that the growth reflects an increasing interest among the younger generation in environmental issues and sustainable development. The competition aims to foster critical thinking and proactive problem-solving regarding global environmental challenges.
