Greenberg Traurig expands office footprint at One Vanderbilt
Law firm Greenberg Traurig is expanding its presence in Midtown Manhattan by leasing an additional 33,477 square feet at One Vanderbilt. The new 10.5-year lease covers the entire 33rd floor of the skyscraper, bringing the firm’s total footprint in the building to 133,365 square feet.
Greenberg Traurig originally signed a 15-year lease for four contiguous floors at the tower in January 2018, prior to its 2020 completion. The firm previously occupied space in the MetLife Building at 200 Park Avenue.
While the specific rent for the expansion was not disclosed, SL Green Realty, the landlord, noted that rents in One Vanderbilt range from $250 to well over $300 per square foot. The expansion keeps One Vanderbilt at 100 percent leased. The deal was brokered by CBRE.
