Greenock man arrested in connection with Glasgow football celebration disorder
Police Scotland has arrested a man in Greenock in connection with disorder during Celtic’s Premiership title celebrations. The arrests were part of a coordinated operation involving properties in Greenock, Glasgow, and Rutherglen.
The violence and anti-social behaviour occurred in the Trongate area of Glasgow on May 16, resulting in serious injuries to two police officers and requiring hospital treatment for three members of the public. Three men, aged 33, 35, and 37, were arrested for offences including assault, breach of the peace, and culpable and reckless conduct. These latest arrests bring the total number of people arrested in connection with the disorder to 47.
