Greenpeace covers ANO election billboard in Prague

Greenpeace activists covered an ANO party election billboard for Prague mayoral candidate Jan Hušbauer in the Kačerov district of Prague. The original advertisement was replaced with a banner featuring Prime Minister Andrej Babiš, Foreign Minister Petr Macinka, and MP Filip Turk.

The banner included the message, “Motoristé škodí přírodě, nebuďte jejich loutka” (Motorists harm nature, don't be their puppet). Greenpeace stated the action was intended to pressure Babiš to ensure competent leadership at the Ministry of the Environment, which they claim is being weakened under the influence of the Motoristé party.

According to Greenpeace, the Motoristé party is undermining climate change response efforts, cutting budgets, and replacing experts with political supporters. In response, ANO spokesperson Martin Vodička criticized the activists for using offensive posters and aggressive communication. Petr Macinka, leader of the Motoristé, described the activists as “green jihadists” who disregard laws and public opinion.
