Greenville undergoes major mixed-use redevelopment projects
Greenville is seeing significant urban expansion through two major redevelopment projects.
Accente Group Inc. has proposed a mixed-use development on the former Greenville Transit Authority site and a city-owned parking lot. The project, expected to be completed in three phases over five to seven years, will feature five buildings on a 3.5-acre site. Plans include up to 385 residential units, two hotels with approximately 385 rooms, 30,000 square feet of retail space, a parking garage with nearly 800 spaces, and public plazas including a dog park.
Separately, the Greenville County Square Redevelopment, a project valued at over $1 billion, is approaching the vertical construction phase. Led by RocaPoint Partners, the 40-acre development has completed internal road and utility work. Phase one includes 10 mixed-use buildings and three parking garages. Approximately 200,000 square feet of retail space has been leased to tenants such as Whole Foods, Williams Sonoma, and Pottery Barn. The project also includes plans for a 155-room hotel and condominium units.
