Greenway hosts inaugural residency for international writers

Three international writers have been selected for the inaugural Greenway Residency at the former holiday home of Agatha Christie. The residency is a partnership between the National Trust and the Exeter UNESCO City of Literature, aimed at celebrating Devon’s literary heritage.

The selected residents include Aining Wen, a children’s book author and illustrator from China; Judith Rossell, an award-winning author and illustrator from Australia; and Dr. Manjiri Prabhu, an acclaimed writer from India. The writers will spend two weeks at the Greenway estate on the River Dart, using the house and gardens as inspiration for their work.

The program coincides with the 136th anniversary of Agatha Christie’s birth and supports Exeter’s status as a UNESCO City of Literature.
