Greg LeMond compares Paul Seixas to Tadej Pogačar and Bernard Hinault

Three-time Tour de France winner Greg LeMond has expressed high expectations for French cycling talent Paul Seixas. In an interview with Ouest-France, LeMond compared Seixas to Tadej Pogačar, stating that Seixas is at least as good as Pogačar was at the same age.

LeMond further suggested that Seixas could be the successor to Bernard Hinault, the last Frenchman to win the Tour de France in 1985. LeMond noted that if Seixas maintains his mental focus, he possesses the talent required to win the Tour. These comments follow a strong season for Seixas, who recorded eight professional victories in 2026, including a win in a monument classic.
