Greg Lynn claims prison attacks in bail application

Former airline pilot Greg Lynn, 60, has testified in the Victorian Supreme Court regarding his bail application, alleging he has been subjected to multiple attacks and harsh conditions while in custody. Lynn is accused of the March 2020 murder of 73-year-old Carol Clay, who disappeared during a camping trip in the Wonnangatta Valley.

During his testimony, Lynn described a “disgusting attack” in which an inmate threw a milk jug containing human faeces and bodily fluids at him. He also claimed to have been poked, spat on, and kept in conditions he described as “Draconian.”

Lynn testified that his notoriety as a high-profile defendant led to safety concerns, resulting in periods of solitary confinement. He further expressed fears regarding his safety in prison, alleging that some inmates may be police informants with an “agenda” to lie about him. He is scheduled to face trial in May next year.
