Gregg Araki returns with new erotic thriller ‘I Want Your Sex’

Director Gregg Araki has returned to feature filmmaking with his new erotic noir thriller, ‘I Want Your Sex’, which recently debuted in the United States. The film, based on a script by Araki and Karley Sciortino, follows the story of a young man named Elliot, played by Cooper Hoffman, who serves as a muse and assistant to a provocative artist named Erika Tracy, portrayed by Olivia Wilde.

The production features a notable ensemble including pop star Charli XCX as Minerva, Margaret Cho, and Johnny Knoxville. A specific scene involving adult film actor Christian Wilde has drawn attention for its explicit nature. Araki, a pioneer of the queer new wave movement, noted that Wilde was ‘extremely professional’ during the filming of the sequence.

This project marks Araki’s first feature film in approximately twelve years, following his work on the series ‘Now Apocalypse’.
