Gregory Bovino claims Trump administration officials want him dead
Gregory Bovino, a former Border Patrol commander-at-large, has alleged that officials within the Trump administration want him dead. During an interview with Tucker Carlson, Bovino claimed that his security detail was withdrawn immediately following his departure from federal service, an act he believes was intended to silence him.
Bovino specifically named Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Rodney S. Scott and Border Czar Thomas Homan as individuals involved in the removal of his protection. However, Bovino clarified that he does not believe President Donald Trump personally wants him killed, suggesting instead that a group of administration officials is attempting to hide information from the President.
The White House has dismissed these allegations as 'absurd.' Additionally, a Department of Homeland Security spokesperson stated that federal security details are only provided to designated officials while they are actively serving in the government, and protection ends once an individual leaves federal service.
